Brad Pitt is an American actor, whose career started in the late 1980’s. At first, Pitt got very small and insignificant roles, played in many TV series (in “Dallas”, among many others) and various horror flicks, but mostly remained unnoticed. The first successful movies he took part in were “Thelma and Louise,” and “True Romance.” The real breakthrough for Brad Pitt’s career came in 1994, with “Interview with the Vampire,” in which he got a lead role.
The romantic, but at the same time, dramatic role of Louis, the vampire, along with his later role in “Meet Joe Black,” established him as a romantic idol of the years to come. Pitt’s reputation was furthered to this direction by his relationship and marriage with Jennifer Aniston of the “Friends” TV series.
On the other hand, Pitt began to claim his rightful place among the stars of Hollywood. He gave an equally enjoyable performance in a wide variety of roles ranging from crime (“Se7en,” “The Devil’s Own”), through drama (“Sleepers,” “Seven Years in Tibet”), to action movies like “Snatch” or “Ocean’s Eleven.” Most recently, Pitt played the role of Achilles in the historical-action-drama “Troy,” and again showed his versatile talent in “Mr. And Mrs. Smith,” a romantic action-comedy.
Despite his divorce from Jennifer Aniston, and his relationship with Angelina Jolie that served as a base for many rumors, Brad Pitt is still one of the greatest male idols of the 21st century.
