Elizabeth Hurley is a British model, actress, and lately, fashion designer. Despite her few movies, she is most known for her acting career and for being the face of Estée Lauder since the mid-90’s.

Liz Hurley was born in 1965 in Basingstoke, Great Britain. In her early years she wanted to be a ballerina, and won a dance and theater scholarship, but was soon expelled for her bad grades. She was only discovered in the late 80’s, when she won a “Face of the year” competition. The prize was a modeling contract.

From 1995 Elizabeth Hurley represented Estée Lauder cosmetics. She had proven to be marketable, and appeared on the covers of many magazines. Liz Hurley was the face of the “Pleasures” perfume until 2005. Estée Lauder’s Elizabeth Pink lipstick is named after her. Despite she became an actress lately, her modeling career still continues both at Estée Lauder and other companies.

Elizabeth Hurley received her first movie role in 1987. In the late 80’s she appeared in some European movies and TV series, but the real breakthrough came in 1992 with “Passenger 57,” where she played together with Wesley Snipes. Liz Hurley’s more successful movies include both parts of Austin Powers, in which she had a lead role with Mike Myers (1997 and 1999), the comedy Bedazzled (2000), and Serving Sarah (2002), another romantic comedy with Matthew Perry.

Elizabeth Hurley is also famous for her relationship with British actor Hugh Grant, which lasted for nearly 13 years starting in 1987. After the couple broke up, Liz Hurley was seen dating with millionaires, and in 2002 she gave birth to her son, Damian.

Liz Hurley is also known as one of the richest, sexiest, and most popular British actresses. She recently started a fashion company, selling a beachwear line (Elizabeth Hurley Beach) of Hurley’s own design for a start.
